Warming up the earthquake house

Looking out the window of the earthquake house Layla noticed her car had frozen over. "Oh gracious. I never thought it was going to be THIS cold on the west coast. Guess I'll be starting a fire then." She looked around her mostly barren room, for she had managed to purchase a mattress and unpack the car of her clothes, laptop, and few belongings before it had snowed. Grabbing her sweater she bundled up and grabbed a bottle of rum as she walked out of the room. "You outta warm me right up." she said before taking a swig of the bottle.

Pausing to knock on Lue's door she hesitated, it was getting late and she hadn't seen him that day yet, perhaps he was up at the Caren, she hadn't taken to venturing there much herself. The house was warm and that was enough for her for now. Walking down to the kitchen she made a bowl of oatmeal and put it in the mircowave. Walking over she picked up a few of the logs she had gathered when Lue had told her to move in for a while, she figured she would stock them with wood anyways. Tossing the logs onto the grate she shoved various papers in and poured a little bit of rum over them before lighting it and hauling backwards as it fireballed out. Her "OH SHIT" almost covering the beep of the microwave.

"Just a sec!" Llue hollers up from his subterranean basement room/work shop. His footsteps are light and quick. He's just in time to catch the ahroun toss the log on the fire.
"Sunova..!" He exclaims as the alcoholic log spews forth it's fireball. "Teach me to leave the front door unlocked." He heads back down stairs for a quick sec and presents a key to Layla.
"Afew words. One, if my door isn't locked, feel free to come on down. If it is locked I'm not to be disturbed short of a full on attack. Two if you do come on down, don't touch anything. I have some temperamental brews in the works and I don't want to have to clean wort of the walls again. Three," He points at three doors, "Those rooms are taken. That leaves the attic and the front closet. You can choose. I'll help you move in when ever you're ready."
He heads into the kitchen and starts the coffee maker. "I drink this stuff like it's milk, so if you want to be on my good side, help me make sure we don't run out. My duties don't allow for much out of the sept roving, but I do try to get out sometimes. I don't bring dates home, unless their kinfolk, but that is only me, I don't like people touching my equipment," he says with a wink. "Sorry about the temp up here but I spend a good deal of time either in the basement or the forge so I keep the temp set low." He pauses for a moment, "Any question?"

Looking around, she laughs. "My bad. I suppose the attic is the place for me then. Coffee eh? That's easy enough." Numbering off on her fingers as he talked. "Just three? Respecting space not an issue at all. Did you say brew?" Her eyes lighting up, "Got a step up?"Holds up her bottle. She looked to the window again, at her frozen car. "All my stuffs in it cept the mattress I drug in." she pointed to the mattress smoldering slightly behind her.

"Yeah I brew," he says with a chuckle. "Mainly beers and meads right now, but given the time and the space, I'm sure I could distill an above average whisky."
"Those three rooms belong to Vasilli, Makes-No-Sense and Sister Razor-tongue. All of whom are out doing stuff... Well Vasilli and SRT are, but Sense went and got him self stuck sideways." He pours some of the fresh coffee into a cup and sits down at the kitchen table. "So, tell me about yourself."

*Takes a swig* "Well Lue I ain't no Galliard, I ain't going to pretend either. I'm from Michigan, born and raised. Visited Ireland once for about 2 years, beautiful country. I joined a sept there even, but I longed for America so I came home. Didn't want to live off mom and dad and I wanted to see more of my own country so I went West. Found this beautiful city and followed my nose. Found the sept. So far so good I'd say." She let out a small laugh and leaned against the wall. "Other packmates huh? That outta be interesting."
