CONFESSION – Even if the cost is great, a secret must be revealed. Either the emotional toll of keeping the secret is too high or remaining silent will prevent the goal from being reached.
I didn’t want to come back to Seattle. But she wanted me. “She called me here.” was nothing but metaphor. Or so I thought. The longer I’m here, the deeper I feel her talons dig in. She lost me once but, Seattle—that greedy bitch, she’s won’t let me go. Not again.
THE SUN, REVERSED – Defeat. Failure to achieve the goal results in loss and despair.
So much has changed and so much has remained the same. Frances, still ambitious and eager to prove himself. Colin, still the white knight in tarnished armor. Price, still the face of an angel with the heart of a manitou. Elysium, still the most dangerous place in the city. This city who wants to claim me.
TRUST – A leap of faith must be made. Either someone is asking to be trusted or difficulty is hand in find the courage to trust one’s self.
People welcomed me as the city welcomed me. People were pleased to see me back. They wanted my insight, my loyalty, my love. New faces… Dario, Seamus, James. All so ready to become one. It’s not that easy in a city that kills its young. But If I’m to survive her love, I will need allies.
WEALTH – A gain or increase in material wealth. Could manifest as a comfortable house, a well-paying job or just cold hard cash.
I don’t trust this city or her people. I can’t. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Not after what happened before. But, as been shown to me time and again, my fate is not in my hands. And this city, Seattle, I fear what she will do to make me love her. Will it be the death of me? Would that be such a bad fate?
THE LOVERS, REVERSED – Love gone awry; unrequited or forbidden love, an illicit affair or the breakup of a serious relationship.
