When you give a Rat a baby....

It really had been a stroke of luck when they'd run into Annie. Bone Gnawers never had a house this big to live in. And they were keeping it respectably clean, too. But it still amazed her that even in this giant house, they weren't bursting at the seams. It really was more of a commune at this point, than a house.

LCD closed the door to the bathroom, having just cleaned off as much of the grease as she could. Now it was time to hunt down babies. Three of them. Boy, was their family getting big.

"Eats! I want Tiana!"

He pokes his head out of the babies room. He walks over to the crib and scoops her up in her blanket. "Here she is. Please be careful with her."

She ran up and took the baby, carefully cradling her.

"You little beauty. How did we get so lucky as to get to keep you?"

She looked at Eats.

"Have you heard anything more from her? Is there anything we should be on the lookout for with Death's baby?"

He shrugs his shoulder. "She only told me that she can't raise her. She is just way to busy and its to dangerous." He leans in and kisses his daughters head. "But I have a feeling with her spirit heritage other tribes are going to want her when she has her first change. So we have some time before we have to deal with that."

She nodded as she gave her finger to the baby to suck on.

"I don't care about all that. That's in the future. Right now, we just get to raise three beautiful baby girls, and I love them all."

She chuckled softly.

"I have some ideas to make it easier on all of us, with all these babies. Road trips are going to get interesting quickly."

[Torr / Dr. Alexander]

He nods his head. "Well if it come down to it we can leave them here and make this are HQ. Cause I would rather not put the babies in harms way." He stares lovingly at his daughter.

She nodded.

"Annie wouldn't mind, I'm sure. And isn't this already HQ? Dude, we have a roof over our heads that's not cardboard!"

Alice enters the room as LCD speaks, and nods in agreement. "And Sabertooth can pull me and Door back when we get lost. I think this may be HQ as long as we're part of the Sept."

[Abby/Blood Offerings]

She smiled to Alice.

"Which is very good. Now that you have babies, we need you to be able to stick around a little bit more."

Jabber-Jaw sits on the roof, furry body melting into the shadows of the peaked tiles. His senses are stretched to the limits, and from his vantage point, it felt as if he could see for miles. Nothing was going to harm this family. Not on his watch. Not again.

Three times, he had failed at keeping a family, a pack, or friends. This one had taken months and years gathering the pieces together. This one was for life, he would not survive the loss again. He and the General Lee would not allow any one of this family to come to harm.

Slam's the Door in Face (Or Slam's) walked around the caren for one of the first times since they had arrived, alone. She was still weak kneed and more than a little anxious without her pack around but it was necessary. She was learning to cope with the local Get's- they were THAT bad, one was downright pleasant. On the other hand she was making a clear choice to stay far from the White Devil of disgrace. Killian- the name alone left a bad taste in her mouth.

It felt wrong, the caren was too quiet, too sane, to.... to.... good smelling.... Home Annie's home that was, smelled of babies, poop, and home cooking. She smiled at the thought. The babies were weird, perhaps it was the lack of hair, or all the screaming... that last bit was a bit to close to home to keep listening too. Nevertheless she loved her pack, they had come for her when the rat's could no longer help her and they had saved her, then they had become her family, slowly showing her the scars were only skin deep and that she did have a proper place here- with them and the General. Happily she rolled on the ground a bit and then trotted back home.
