Actor who starred in LEASE goes missing from Seattle theatre

An actor who has appeared in the popular play LEASE as well as hits including the Barber of Seville has gone missing days before the opening of a major production, police say.
Alistair Merova, 43, was last seen leaving the LQA Theatre in Lower Queen Anne, where he had been appearing on stage, shortly after 6pm on Saturday, February 28th.
Mr. Merova, who also played Masood's brother Inzaman in a theatrical revue of the EastEnders and who has appeared in Spooks and Dirty Pretty Things, spoke with some of the actors at the LQA Theatre at 9PM that night and has not been heard from since.

The actor, and producer, who also uses the name James Alistair Merova and who played First Lead in the Barber of Seville, was captured on CCTV footage walking from the stage door area of the theatre up an alleyway and turned left as if walking towards Lower Queen Anne market.

A police spokesman said of the disappearance: 'This is totally out of character for Mr. Merova.'
He is described as caucasian and of slim build.
He is 6ft tall with short grey hair and was wearing light coloured trousers, a blue shirt, light coloured shoes and he had a playbill for the Barber of Seville with him.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the police non-emergency line or Missing People.
Alistair Merova was also known for his turn as MALVOLIO IN "TWELFTH NIGHT" AT THE Seattle Metropolitan Playhouse and London's Albery Theatre.

Actor Joseph Gaiter has joined hundreds of people on Tweeter in expressing their concern for missing actor Alistair Merova.
The actor re-tweeted a link to Mr. Merova's missing person's page to his Tweeter following of almost six thousand people.
Fellow actor Edward Roland, who played Erik in cult TV hit The Vampire Journals, messaged Mr Gaiter asking him to retweet the link, saying: 'Please read and RT @joegaiter - a wonderful actor and lovely man has gone missing.'
Stage actor Aileen Dore and Mr. Merova's colleague in a new production of the Barber of Seville that opens today at the LQA Theatre tweeted: 'Alistair Merova who was in our @thelqa production is missing. This is TOTALLY out of character. Last seen near @lqamarket. Please RT.'
