Body Discovered Floating in Puget Sound

Seattle police are trying to identify the body of a man whose body was found floating in the Puget Sound
Police spokeswoman Hazel Deveraux made a statement advising that the body had been discovered by a boater about 1 mile south of the Elliott Bay Marina. “It is difficult to determine the identity of the man due to his state of decomposition, as well as removal of the common identifying features. It is undetermined if the head and hands were removed pre or post mortem. It is currently being investigated as a potential homicide.”
Police say that he appeared to be in his mid 30s and was about 5’10.
