Three shadows ghost through the outskirts of the human settlement. Two are larger, more powerful, tireless, the third is smaller, darker, more lithe. Their eyes are unblinking points, reflecting the moon's light. The largest one stops and stares at the dwelling. The stench of corruption is strong here, stronger than elsewhere. The shadows exchange looks, whiskers twitch, and sub vocalizations pass between them. To the human ear, it is nothing. To the cat ear . . .
"Meth lab," The largest one says, "prominent, likely in operation for months. Your garou have been negligent."
The other large one nods, "More like preoccupied. Considering recent events, can you blame them? Besides, Fire, by the time I'm done, they'll have this whole area cleaned up, and then some."
The larger shadow's ears twitch, "I still don't understand why you're bothering with this 'Wyrm Foe' nonsense. Leave the Garou to their business and stick to your own."
"It can't be helped. One way or another, we have to learn to work together."
The smaller shadow regards the two, her green eyes penetrating their very souls. "What exactly are you planning, Isaac?"
"I can't tell you, Belle," his face breaks into a cheshire grin, "That is a secret!"
"Meth lab," The largest one says, "prominent, likely in operation for months. Your garou have been negligent."
