Here is a write out of a local news broadcast that would be seen on Friday or Saturday:

Activists and protesters have gathered around the ICE Detention facility in Tacoma, all in response to a large group of refugees and immigrants being arrested upon their arrival in SeaTac airport. Twenty-seven men, women and children arrived on Thursday on a direct flight from Paris, France. Some had family waiting for them at the Arrivals gate while others were traveling on their own, coming to jobs at some of the region’s largest employers.
Erin Lowry, the representative for the PNW Office of the US Immigration Enforcement Task Force, said that while the precise reasons for each of these individuals being detained could not be released to the public, she was allowed to announce that their office and the Department of Homeland Security had received credible evidence of at least one threat amongst these passengers.
A representative from the Governor’s office supported Ms. Lowry’s statement. The governor’s office and a representative of the office of the Mayor of Seattle both signed on to letters indicating that these refugees would not be allowed to be settled within the city limits of Seattle, nor anywhere within Washington State.
Ms. Lowry indicated that these 27 individuals will be taken to Joint Base Lewis-McCord and flown to another ICE facility. Ms. Lowry declined to specify which facility. When asked if they would be taken to Guantanamo Bay and treated as enemy combatants, Ms. Lowry said that she could not confirm if that would happen, but that it was a possibility.
Members of the Church Council of Seattle have planned round the clock protests and intend to hinder the removal of these individuals.
Crown News will be following this story and will have more on tomorrow’s news.
