Regarding the Fera discussion. I have played a character from almost every tribe, almost every auspice, and every breed in werewolf. i've played most merits and most flaws. i've played mokole, corax, ananasi *all western not hengaioki*, and once i even played an abomination that was very much an NPC. Most of this happened in different games. I don't always like to play a 'stock' or even less then stock garou ALL the time. I like variety now and then. The fera offer a completely different point of view from what the garou are usually used to. And even then just as there are a rainbow of tribes and auspices for garou most fera have as much. The ananasi have thier own Tic Tac Toe board of cultural divergence amongst thier own kind.
I know know why each player has been permitted thier fera at game. It's none of my business. but occasionally i like to play something different. Meybey it's a grumpy mokole VERY resentfull over the war of rage, but grudgingly chatty to stay in gaia's good graces, if no-one else's. Perhaps a reclusive Tenere Wyrstra Ananasi, so curious about the connection between glass walkers and thier technology, that it takes up a,,, new collection. Or perhaps it's a <heaven have mercy> shy corax, who mumbles and shies away from attention, but manages to manipulate the entire sept into taking actions through muttering rumors in the right ears.
I definately agree with the point that too much of a good thing, isn't a good thing anymore. But sometimes one of those truely exceptional characters comes along. The one that would fill <blah> role in <blah> storyline to a tea. Saying fera is capped just feels too final to me i guess.
