Beep Beep. Ring, ring, ring, Beep...
"How many calls could I have possibly missed in a week?" the strangely becoming young goth girl whispered to the figure next to her, who's phone was also off-putting sound. The "figure" stood a full head taller than her and was dazzling to behold. Blond, blue eyes, built, and young. The pair was only keeping strangers away by linking arms and sporting matching bands on their left ring fingers. To anyone who looked in their direction they were obviously newly weds- a strangely matched pair on sight but very much obviously in love to any onlooker.
Strolling down a busy street in Normandy, France in the late afternoon the couple looked out of place. Especially when they had first arrived seemingly from nowhere- or out of a alley near a castle. They had also drawn looks by asking various questions of the locals in English at first, before switching rather casually to French and appearing to have little to no idea how to get to the airport they had seemingly come from originally.
Beep, beep, beep... "Again?" She glanced down at her phone, and clicked the answer button once it registered she was receiving a call from Seattle, Washington. "Umm, Hello? Ah Hi Nissa. No, I have't been around since the wedding sorry, got stuck..." Her coal black eyes looked from side to side at the locals, "Somewhere. When we arrived for our honeymoon." Silence, followed by a slightly higher whisper than before, "It's what day?" The phone call was shortly ended afterward.
Detaching her slender arm from her Husband the unearthly young woman looked into her husbands ocean like eyes, "It's February 15th back there." She whispers, voice full of concern, "Which means I'm 2 months late to meet with Duchess Loraine for my Dougal training. Things back at home sound bad. We should try to get up there soon, really soon." She looked back at her phone... 23 missed calls and 51 messages. "We'll need to wrap things up first in California and New York of course."
