Change of Heart?

Brenna looked up from an anatomy book that she was studying to look around for Wolf and his pack. She wanted to check on the baby and then had to some how break up with Wolf. She hoped that he would take it well, they hadn’t been together long. Brenna worried about him and William getting in to a fight over something that had happened and her being an aggravating factor or him having an issue with any of her male relatives for that matter.

Besides he hadn’t been anything like the man she had originally mistaken him for. She remembered the night that they had met. She had felt a thrill of happiness as she had seen Wolf from behind then dread as she had recalled Merrick’s parting words to her. When Wolf had turned around she had been so relieved that she had started flirting with him when he had approached her.

Wolf was sweet in a gruff sort of way and would make some lucky girl a wonderful mate. Just not her. She had broken her promise to herself and was going to hear it from Ravenna later but for now she could correct it. Then keep an eye out for a girl for Wolf that could give him what he needed in a kinfolk. She sighed as she looked around the back room again and noted what she needed to stock up on for the Garou here.

“And mom was worried about me being bored. My job is never done.”

The perfect pitch carried through the back room. The sweet sound of 'Whiskey in the jar' cut through the air. Whistler poured a drought for himself and stole a kiss from Maeve, one of his many kin, and the tender of the back room. With a smile she shooed him from behind the bar, snapping a bar towel with precision.

Laughing he made his way around the room, straightening chairs and the like. Whistler shook his head as he brushed stray hairs off of the booth seats. Lupus born or not this was a bar fairly near civilization, and he just couldn't understand not trying to blend in or at least cleaning up after herself.

After wiping off the area, he turned and smiled at Brenna. He covered the distance with a smile and a wink and took a seat across from her.

"An hows me favorite Niece doin tonight? Perhaps ye need a brew to wash down the deep thoughts locked up upon yer brow, lass."

“I am doing ok. A brew might be just what I need.” She grins at her Uncle, ”How are things going? Is there anything I can do to help?”

Brenna tries to maintain a happy go lucky expression for a moment before she realizes that it’s Uncle Whistler and that it’s so not going to work. She lets her face fall back into more pensive lines.

“Can you give me some good advice on breaking up with Wolf please?” She says quietly hoping that no one else catches her words before she can talk to him.

"A Guinness for Brenna, an bring me the bottle of the Bushmils, single malt." Whistler said looking back at Maeve.

"The Pot stilled, 21 Year?" Maeve said with a smile already knowing the answer. As he nodded she arranged the drinks and took them over. She loved watching her old man with Brenna, she brought the daddy out in him, despite their age difference it was a side of him she cherished and found sexy as hell.

"Now lass what is this yer askin? Ave' ye made up yer mind then?" He asked quizzically. Maeve Set the drinks and headed off.

Whistler waited for his niece's answer, curious what brought this on so suddenly. Sure she of any kin he knew would not cave by peer pressure. And though Wolfgang was quite a langer he had though he might last more an two weeks.

She fidgets with her cup for a moment collecting her thoughts.

“I had intended on trying to make things work. He has so many good traits in him that I don’t think many see. He’s just rough around the edges, he’s young so am I.” She sighs unhappily, “I was sitting with Jason and Zephyrus and the tall Russian guy that is new here, I can't remember his name. They were talking about Wolf and how they all thought that I could do better…” She bites her lip, “ Then Zephyrus just started to make sense to me suddenly.”

She shakes her head in confusion, “I had plans. I wanted to help them with baby Andrew. I’ve arranged to see some of the cousins and gather some baby things for him. You know that none of the three of them have a job and they plan on taking care of an infant? But now… I’m so sure that I have to break up with Wolf and that it’ll be better for us this way.”
