"Where is my wife?" The human demanded, stalking angrily across the room towards Thalia. She unconsciously bared her teeth in a growl as he approached. He hesitated, stopping a few feet away from her.
"My sister is safe. And you will never ever get to even know where she is much less get to come anywhere near her." Thalia snarled. The man's eyes grew wide in angry surprise and he clenched his fists.
"How dare you, you little bitch!" He yelled and lunged towards her. Instantly, without even a second's thought, all the anger Thalia had been keeping at bay coursed through her body. As the human's fist sailed through the air towards her she shifted and wrapped her Crinos paw around the man's forearm. He screamed in terror at the horrific lupine shape bristling with anger in front of him, the pain of her crushing the bones in his arm lost in the fear.
Thalia grabbed him with both hands and slammed him against the wall. Picture frames jolted off their hooks and smashed to the floor. She wrapped her hands around his throat and choked off his screams. "Wrong decision." She growled. His eyes were full of terror, pleading and desperate. Thalia let her claws sink into his neck.
----
Sister Razortongue stood tall and confident in front of the Volcano pack. "I want you to bring to mind one thing that you are fighting for, something that you want to make it back for. Keep that thing that you hold dear in your mind. And during the battle, when it is darkest, I want you to use that as your beacon to keep fighting."
Thalia felt her heart hammering and swallowed nervously. Her mind hummed with anxiety and indecision, the chaos of the threats facing them loomed large. Thalia had only barely gotten back to Seattle in time, she had been racing to return; worried that her packmates would go into this horrific battle and she would be unable to stand by their side.
What was her one thing? She looked around at her packmates. Orion, poised and ready to fight anything that could be thrown at him, and reeking of jet fuel. Alex, surrounded by spirits and armed to the teeth with sun arrows. Wilhelm, radiant in fae armor and flashing sword. Thalia looked south to Mt. Rainer and thought of her father, thought of her mother at their home in the Umbra. Thought of her sister's swollen eyes and bruised face. Thalia nodded and hefted her labrys; she knew what her light in the darkness was.
----
The Abomination appeared in a flury of chaos. Thalia strained to focus as the world suddenly moved too fast and too slow all at once. She saw Sister Razortongue falling, Orions claws flashing through the fire and the fog. One of Alex's sun arrows blossomed out of the darkness. Voices, howls, cries of pain. Nothing was touching Thalia, Phobe's Veil blocked her from view, but every motion around her felt like a physical jolt. It was overwhelming, there was so much. Her eyes were locked on the hulking form of the twisted lupine Abomination in front of her; out of the corner of her eye she saw Orion falter. No! She gasped: Thalia's heartbeat spiked and she launched herself at the Abomination. She swung the labrys as hard as she could; in the back of her mind she dimly recognized that she only had one chance and if she failed then she was finished. With a sickening crunch Thalia's labrys sliced into the Abomination's neck, her anger forced against the resistance and she staggered to the ground as it gave way. Looking up she saw the Abomination fall as sprays of blood erupted from its body.

"You will never hurt anyone ever again."
