We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone again for the success of December’s fund raising.
However, we have lost some ground in January. We came to a total of $704 for the month, which barely rent, but we also have paid our yearly license fees this month, and are trying to have a hefty advance toward next year.
Jeff Meaders informed us that last winter as well, donations dropped off sharply for the months of January, February and March.
Our weekly goals, based on 4 weekends in a month, are 175 per week. We only met this goal one of the 5 weeks in January, and the last 2 games were only HALF the weekly goal. The first week of February isn’t faring any better either. So we are asking everyone to remember to stop by the table and feed Count Pigula.
We had $1,127 at the end of December. After January’s donations, rent and the license fee, we currently have $1,086. This is the first month we have ever gone backwards in our “savings”, and we are still hoping to reach our savings goal of rent x 2 before we return to the great outdoors.
We know the economy is rough, maybe some tax returns will help everyone out. Thanks in advance for stepping up and helping to keep us all warm and dry!
