Donate to NOTR through PayPal!

Over the months, people have expressed interest in either being able to pay with a card or pay during the week online through a PayPal account. I am pleased to announce that as of today, we do have our own PayPal account.

We do have one of those fancy "Donate" buttons but since the board won't take HTML in a post, here's how you do it! Unfortunately, since we can't put that button up, right now we can only accept donations from individuals who also have PayPal accounts instead of anyone with a check card or credit card.

To donate, log in to your PayPal account and click the "Send Money" tab. Enter [e-mail] for the email address of the recipient, the amount you wish to donate, and select "Gift" from the menus at the bottom to denote that you're sending us a donation and not a payment for goods and services, which we'd be taxed on.

That's it! I'll be working to try and get a Donate button up and running as it's more convenient for PayPal users and allows non-PayPal users to make payments this way as well.

Donate buttons are now at the top and bottom of the NOTR board as well as in the sidebar toward the bottom.

Can we get some explanitory text as why the buttons are there in an effort to stave off questions like, "What are they donate buttons for?"

Perhaps something like "Make a donation to the Northwest Organization for Theatrical Roleplay to pay rent during the coldest months!"

Hold your mouse over the Donate button. It reads "Donate to NOTR with PayPal" and the regular Paypal text of blah blah safety, security, etc.

That text actually doesn't show up on my browser. I'm using Chrome.

We're working on putting some text up to make things less ambiguous - it's a concern I shared as well, I want to make sure people know they're donating to NOTR, preferably before having to mouse-over or clicky the link.

Words exist! Later there may be a little logo or somethin' somethin', depending on what the members of NOTR come up with. I could also steal the awesome logo from the facebook page too, hehe...
