Thank you again to everyone who still finds room in their finances to donate. Spring is coming, which means less and less time until we find ourselves playing outside!
This past February, we raised $761. This is better than January, which is great, but still short of where we need to be to reach that rent x 2 goal before we leave the BGC for the season.
We had $1086 in the bank at the beginning of February. After paying March rent and finding that our bank is now charging us $12/month for the pleasure of having an account with them, this has us starting March at $1135. This puts us just a bit over where we were at the start of January.
Because of the bank fees, we will be transferring our banking to another institution which doesn't charge us just to bank with them. $12/month may not seem like a lot, we are committed to running NOTR with as few expenses as possible outside of rent. This is especially true as our time at the BGC comes to a close (last year, we moved out after March) and we're asking our members to dig in and help us reach our rent x 2 goal before we're out at the UW again.
This month, we also chose to open up a PayPal account to make donating easier for those who have mentioned they don't carry cash or would prefer to send money online. Buttons to donate are located on the bottom left sidebar of the general forums, as well as on the top and bottom of every NOTR page. We hope that this will make things a bit easier for people who don't choose to donate cash at the BGC and help us get further towards our goals!
Again, thank you to everyone who's been able to donate to us so far - consistently or not - we wouldn't have gotten this far without you! We likely only have a month or two before it becomes warm enough to consider going back outside, so let's see if we can't step things up and reach our goal by then, so we have to beg less over the summer.
