The night was light and Guy was all but alone in the back room of the Mother's Tear Pub. To him, that was just fine. Lately it's been difficult to relate to others, and since Helene's death it's only been getting harder. Especially with Eris.
When his cousin came to mind Guy stopped and looked around the bar, this place had been a safe haven for him. It was like a home away from home. Just by looking around he could imagine his mother walking among the tables, smiling and joking with the local kinfolk and the other Garou of the sept. He reached up and placed his hand over his heart where the deepest scars of his life were located, both physical and emotional. Helene's death just added another scar.
All he could think of was how long it would take before he had enough scars to keep him from feeling this kind of pain.
Shaking his head with his eyes closed, Guy refocused himself and continued his work around the bar. Wiping the counter, cleaning glasses, organizing the liquor, everything that kept him from thinking too hard about the past month.
