Reading as follows:
Mr. Shaw, fellow of kith,
I present to you a choice of honor. Having stood forward to speak for you in public and put my own words in private to your safety I formly challenge you to a duel. As I wish to prove my better and demand of you terms for victory I shall allow you the honor of selecting the type and terms of the duel.
I shall be speaking with those who preside over these matters if this shall be allowed in public, but should they refuse the simple request of this our engagement should be held in private between and to settle the matter of honor.
The terms I request for my victory in any single engagement you choose for the duel will be discussed in person, as I will not trust everything to the faith of our fateful kith.
Do us both proud and continue your house's tradition of courage and defiance of fear.
