"Impatience is the mark of independence, not of bondage."
Marianne Moore
Nissa stormed into her room throwing her coat and kicking off her shoes. She started searching her dresser for the new ever present bottle of aspirin. Between her almost ever present head ache and her sleeping problems she wasn’t feeling very well.
“Come on, come on I know that you are here I took some this morning before I left for work. Maybe I should go and visit Canada....” She sighed and hit her fist against the dresser top, “Damn it.”
She hated the way her temper flared and her frustration mounted over something so small. Everything was annoying or pissing her off currently. Nissa hated feeling so out of control but that seemed to be what was happening for now. There was only so many things that she could to change that.
People from her past were missing but nothing was being done about it to her knowledge. She hated not doing something, inaction is at best forgetfulness or laziness at worst. She doubt Ambrose had the ability for either which meant that he was trying to protect her from something that he knew. Which was sweet and she understood his concern with the way things had happened with Caleb but they still had things that they had to do.
Fitzroy was gone, she wasn’t sure what was happening with that. Caleb seemed to think that he had been taken so that was another thing that she had to look into. Nissa stood up and started tossing things on to her bed. She missed Sheila and Matt horribly but they deserved what ever happiness they had gone off to find.
Nissa teared up and tried to push away memories, she couldn’t fall apart right now. People to see things to fix. She looked at the old picture of her family and rubbed a finger against the glass over her sister.
“Cala I will find you soon.”
She turned and shoved the clothes that she had grabbed into a back pack. Nissa swept out of the room pushing down her roiling emotions. She put a note to Count Shila where he could find it and headed towards the doors of the freehold.
