Someone requested the PW for this accout

I just got an email that someone wanted the password to this account, who are you and why are you asking?

Ignore it. No one should be asking for your password... If it were someone official, they could already access your account as part of the mod features. Anyone else has no business with it anyway.

It was me, Dustin.

I had originally created the account ages ago for a PC ghoul of Chris's I played using my actual name (Dustin). I went to reregister the name and it said it was already taken, so I sent a password reset email.

I thought I had just forgotten my password. I am sorry for any confusion.

Ah, Dustin, this was an account you created for a former PC ghoul.

That ghoul became an NPC ghoul of another PC. After you retired the PC ghoul, another PC bought the ghoul as an NPC and I assigned the then unused message board account to that player so she could post as said ghoul with her character.

This was a long time ago, round about three or four years I think.

At this time if Kaine would like, she can change the email address to one of your choosing and give you back the message board account, or you could just make another account. There's not really a limit to accounts you can make, so this latter option would probably be easier. Seeing how you've already done so, super easy.

If Kaine does decide to return the account to you, she can place an email address of your choosing into the email address field of the account profile and hit 'save changes'. Then you'll get a confirmation email in your email account that you must click on to validate the email address.

Or Kaine could delete the account so that you could create a new one named 'dustin'.

Again, there is nothing stopping you either from just making a dustin1, dustins or other such username and account at any time, and you can of course create any 'display name' you want on any of those options.

However as it is unlikely that Kaine is using this account anymore, I see no reason she wouldn't put it back to your email address or delete it so you can start over.

You'll need to discuss that with Kaine however, as the Admin abilities that Proboards offer me no longer allow me to change another person's email address for them, nor can I delete an account that another person has made (only suspend/hide/upgrade to st/downgrade etc.). This change was probably made to avoid situations like this.
