There are three ways to make these helpful guys. There is a ritual, a ragabash gift, and a spirit charm. Recently there has been some debate on how these work, and I am tired of the debate, so here is the ruling.
Moon Bridges are NOT dimension doors. You can not use your totem like a damned Portal gun. Period.
ALL moon bridges must end at a Path Stone. Commonly these are Caern Stones, but they are not strictly the same thing. There is a single fetish in Rage Across the Heavens that change the way this functions. That is in. Period.
The ritual takes time, both ends must have a path stone and the distance is not limited.
The gift effectively creates a bridge instantly, but has a 1,000 mile limit and needs to end at a Path Stone.
The charm is a FULL ROUND ACTION, meaning the spirit can do nothing else the turn it opens this moon bridge and maintaining it requires some of its concentration. It is likewise limited at 1,000 miles and must end at a Path Stone. Note this starts at its initiative and opens at the start of the next turn. It can be interrupted. This isn't from the book, this is being instituted for balance.
Please note that opening a moon bridge is dangerous, especially with the phase of the moon. They are frequented with lunes, and these lunes are fickle, dangerous creatures. Attacking them might result in your ass getting dumped in the Abyss. It's true; try it sometime.
A moon bridge being open remains open until everyone is off it.
Nothing can open more then one moon bridge at a time. Stop it.
Further, moon bridges that end at a Caern always inform the Gatekeeper of the Caern who has soopur sekrit powerz to have that moon bridge open anywhere on the bawn.
Anyway, I hope this clarifies things.
