So, here is the deal:
Anarchs are awesome.
How awesome?
How's about they took down a nasty ass Infernalist. And with fewer losses than the Tremere took in killing Chapman.
Of course Chapman was a Ventrue (Represent!) trained by Collin Collisimo while Jean Luc was just a Toreador.
That's right: Jean Luc of Clan Toreador went to the Dark Path. After torturing Ariel Martine into a false contract he escalated his game. He and his Demon (It shall not be named, such things have power) took over a crowded commuter ferry as a source of souls for a massive ritual.
Our Baron had the lead on this entire case, tracking down a mysterious man we had been calling 'Aaron the Moore'. I had been trying to work on it myself but hadn't gotten much further than creating a scandal, taking the blame for that scandal, and coming over to the side of Angels.
But Richter, man. That guy can dig shit up. He started getting some pieces together. This brought in Tiberius Harkness, who shortly joined the Cause.
They put together a crew of Anarchs and Camarilla to put this thing to rest. On the Cam side: Mad Tom and the Tremere Darkov.
A few weeks ago this crew took Jean Luc and the Demon. They managed to save some of the mortals trapped on the ferry and in personal combat Tiberius Harkness killed Jean Luc, bringing the Final Death to the Infernalist and all his works.
Now, to be clear here: The Cam had a problem in that it had an infernalist (the second one in a year) among them.
The Cam recognized the threat, and then put Richter the Anarch Baron in charge of fixing it. Not their own Sheriff, or the Tremere Luthias, no, to Richter.
And in the end, it was an Anarch who slew Jean Luc.
Granted, Darkov says he handled the Demon. My sources don't contradict that, so I will call that a solid. Mad Tom - I wish I had the words to explain how amazing this guy is. Get to know him, he knows the region. And I mean knows the region. But this guy, and his insights, were crucial in tracking Jean Luc down.
But Anarchs certainly lead the way.
Looking forward to future collaborations; this was a win for the Anarchs and the Camarilla.
