It is not the Elders themselves. I know, another contrary and shocking statement from Francis the New Guy.
Again, I've had some time to observe them. Example: Luthius really doesn't give a shit about the Anarchs. He only cares about his goals and the tasks before him. He killed who he killed because she was in the way of his appointed task; given means to slay an enemy that he wanted vengeance on for some slight.
Frankly, he would have let her be if she had backed off; Saga was his prize, his enemy made low.
Granted if the murderin' ain't so good Luthius might come a' nocking. He craves battle, to maintain his relevance as a warrior in a society that often mocks their defenders.
Still doesn't mean he gets a pass on Brunhilde. Just explaining a bit of his ticking.
But the true enemy of the Anarchs are ideas. Ideas that give the Camarilla the idea that their tower is sound instead of rotten at the foundations, that it will not fall. That their way is the only way. That they have hold on to methods of doing things that are failing them and continue on only with stubbornly grinding inertia.
If it does fall, if the Tower collapses then it would be disaster for the Anarchs as well. It needs to change and the calcification of it's Unwritten Rules will leave it vulnerable. If we maintain a light pressure the Camarilla will bend, not break, and we might avert a disaster for us all.
Our fates are entwined. May we bend with the howling winds and thus remain strong.
