Bernard Summers and Lois Melva were having a calm night at home when someone rang their doorbell. When Bernard answered the door, an angry man in dirty rags grabbed him and knocked him against the wall hard. Lois took no time to try and defend him, taking up a nearby bat and driving the hobo away.
"He was crazy strong," said Summers, "And he looked like a monster."
Summers is suffering a concussion; police are looking for a man fitting the description of the suspect.
"I reacted the only way I knew how. I couldn't let that man kill my Bernie." Melva commented.
