A King County judge today declared a mistrial in the embezzling case against Katrice Rubio. The judged declared a mistrial after a brief investigation found that the prosecuting attorney Carl Tinsley had tampered with evidence and attempted to intimidate members of the jury. The judge called the investigation after noticing a number of contradictions between two versions of a written statement made by the leading witness. After a brief review of the supplied documents and questioning by the court, the case had been put on hold. After further investigation, and a number of anonymous tips, the court seized several internal documents from law firm Perkins, Perkins, Perkins, and Cole LLP, which Carl Tinsley has been a long-time employee. The documents revealed that the law firm has attempted to persuade their attorneys to preform similar actions in a number of recent cases. Perkins, Perkins, Perkins, and Cole LLP has rocketed into the spotlight recently due to winning a large number of cases in the Downtown Seattle area and, according to city officials, has caused a general snarl in the ability for Downtown to adapt to changing conditions. The remaining Seattle cases involving attorneys of Perkins, Perkins, Perkins, and Cole LLP have also now been put on hold in order to learn the extent of this illegal action.
Janice Foster, a small business owner and friend of Katrice Rubio, had this to say "I'm so happy right now! I have been getting calls and threats from those awful people (Perkins, Perkins, Perkins, and Cole LLP) for the last few months. Now that the people have seen them for what they are we can be left in peace!"
