I'm voting option 2, so that game can still be free.

Option 2 makes the game be free. Really. Because of two things:
Mandatory fees are ONLY instated if we can't meet our obligations
I know that's written in the options, but I'm not sure everyone realizes it. Option 2 is change nothing for a while, and see if we can pull it off like we usually do.
And I think we're going to actually pull this off without these mandatory fees at all. I think we'll get close to this deadline, and in proper dramatic fashion, raise the necessary funds.
I have faith in our community
And if we don't make it? Then instead of breaking our word with the B&GC, and kicking 100+ players into the cold, we get a reminder. It's a table at the front door. A reminder that those with means need to contribute, and to those of moderate means that every little bit counts, even if it's just a little more than what a bottle of coke costs. But what about those we will exclude with mandatory fees? We have a strong culture of "everyone can play" in our community.
If that happens, I predict that *that very night* we'll have enough to cover everyone who wants to come in, and within a few weeks (maybe two) that table will disappear again. Because our community is that strong.
