Is there actually an election looming?

So, to my knowledge, there hasn't been an actual announcement of an election. The "official" duration is a year, however it was announced as the intention to run through the end of July / beginning of August here.



Am I missing something? Or is a shark being jumped?

You are correct that the election has not yet been officially kicked off. Being so that a reset is a big change I wanted to give people the opportunity to ask all the relevant questions about such a change and to let the possibility settle in.
