Here's a list of questions I have from my experience playing in the Sabbat game, for the new V20 Camarilla game.
-Caitiff: The V20 creation section says that Caitiff can start with any discipline they want, subject to storyteller approval. Will there be a list of approved disciplines for the Caitiff, potentially the common 8? Do they increase new disciplines through observation, or do they have to consume blood?
-Grapple: Grappling is very strange in V20. There is no grapple maneuver but instead a Hold and a Clinch maneuver. Both are started with a Dex + Brawl roll vs the target (no resistance however it can still be dodged). On a successful hold, neither party can do any action except attempting to escape. On a successful clinch, each party can roll strength to damage their opponent with bashing or attempt to escape.
The problem is that a Bite attack can only be performed when in a Tackle, Hold, or Clinch with somebody. Does this bypass the action restriction on clinch and hold? Does the Tackle mean you can perform it on anybody who is successfully knocked down? Can you perform it on somebody who was tackled but did not fall? What about somebody who fell from a leg sweep?
-Thaumaturgy and Rituals: V20 seems to be a lot vaguer on what rituals and paths go with which blood magic. If I remember correctly there were rules in Rites of the Blood for cross paradigm rituals, and most of the rituals listed in both v20 core and rites of the blood don't list what paradigms they are a part of. The Thaumaturgy section of V20 Core says that the paths are in a number of blood magics, but all of them should be assumed to be Tremere accessible, if not necessarily common. What rituals and paths are available to non-Tremere?
