As my proposal for HST I decided to put together something special. The following is a link to Rage and Rebirth, a Splat Book/Supplement that goes through my vision for the game I want to run. It includes a look at the feel we want the setting to have, the ways we will address the challenges of storytelling and some ideas for changes to the system we are considering.

You will notice we do not plan on doing a reset, so I realize for some of you the choice will be about that. No hard feelings if you don't like what I've got in mind. I wanted to put this out there so that people could make an informed choice. If you are on the fence, I'd love the chance to convince you, so don't be shy.

Please let me know quickly if there are any problems viewing the document. I'm going to put it on Facebook as well and I'll be bringing some printed and bound copies to Game tomorrow night.

As for credits: I wrote the stories and the text. Gavin, Elspeth and Jeff all proofed. Gavin did the layout and the majority of the editing. The art is all from White-Wolf material, mostly distributed as rewards from kickstarters we've contributed to. We are using it for the purposes of a running a chronicle, as intended, so please be conscious of the artists and don't distribute it outside of showing it to players or prospective players. We'd like as many new players as want to give us a shot, though, so feel free to show it to people you'd like to recruit for game!

:3 Just finished reading the whole thing since I didn't have a chance at game and it's really neat~ I enjoyed the stories and pretty much all of what you're planning was easy to understand~

o3o I'm a tad surprised that Fera stuff didn't pop up much beyond the Gift section and was wondering if it's going to be taken into account that Fera do tend to do things a bit to a lot differently than Garou~ Things such as dealing with spirits, making our magical toys, and any other things I may not even know about yet? X3 Hopefully I'm making sense at 6:30 in the morning~

I know I didn't really address Fera directly, so I'm glad you asked.
The reason they didn't come up much is that, in general, I plan on treating them as they are treated in the setting books.

Fera do a lot of things differently. The STs will account for that and use it to spice things up for you and others. We won't ignore the differences. I obviously can't make any promises for characters or NPC Garou that are prejudiced or ignorant.

OOC, several members of our staff are very experienced with Fera, so if one of us doesn't know something we will ask the others or look it up. You don't need to worry about us glossing over the things that make you special. In fact, because you aren't a normal unrestricted character, you will almost inevitably end up being dragged in to plots. I see the things that make Fera interesting as tools I'm excited to use, not as a chore I have to find a way to work in to keep players happy.

In return for playing any special character, we expect the players who ask to play them to put that same effort back in. Many of you have waited quite a while on a list, and are really excited when your spot comes up, so that usually isn't a problem. But as with most special things, getting to play them is going to be a responsibility and a reward. You will get back more if you put a lot of effort in.

As to the Fera list, we will treat it the same way we are going to treat anything. If you want to play something strange, convince us. The list will still exist because we still want to be able to tell a story that centers around the Garou and the Caern, but rather than a hard-and-fast cap, we will judge each application on the merits and balance it with the current state of game. We will keep the current list for now to be fair to those who have been waiting. If you are one of those people, please be prepared to discuss as much of your Fera concept as possible at your initial one-on-one meeting with staff in the coming month.

For those of you dying to play a Fera, take heart. I'm guessing we will be able to get to you sooner rather than later, and comparably quickly to the other staff despite not doing a reset.
