Torpor and the LARP Kindred

So... Are there going to be any adjustments or alternate methods for waking a kindred out of Torpor?

I'll use last night as an example: Dino went to assist in punchfighting the Anarchs. He took a whole lot of Uzi to the head, as you do. (Goddamn Brujah!) He is now in torpor for ONE YEAR based on his Humanity.

I'm lucky. This is a historical game, with a large enough jump between games that I get cool RP, contemplate how Dino's personality deals with the event, and then come play next week.

But when this happens to any vamp of humanity 6 or lower after we start modern nights? BAM! best case, ONE MONTH you can't play your character, because his friends, or his ghouls, or some schmuck enemy has shoved him to the back of their closet while they wait for you to wake up.

Again: is there any way other than time to waken a torpid kindred, or are non stake/voluntary based torpor durations going to be changed?

At this time, staff has decided not to modify the Torpor rules. Staff will watch the live play and consider other rulings in the future, but it is our intention to stay as close to the core v20 rules as possible in most cases.

Yikes. No caps on damage? Means you need to use take downs on targets you want to talk. That's going to be different. Nets. Nets might be a thing.

You know what? I kinda like it the way it is. Makes people think a little more about whether or not they really want to start a combat, since they may end up "dead" even if they win.

Makes it a lot more than just "stack damage, alpha strike"

I'm more or less on this plan too. I've played a game where damage stacks and combat advantages were things. They still are; but the advantage of the Fortitude clans to soak up so much more damage potentially is huge with this system. And it increases Humanity values.
