Kindred of Seattle,
I didn’t want to bring this up during the Ball but I am leaving the city. Debts that I owe have been called in and I cannot ignore them.
I love this city. I have watched it grow from a one street mud puddle to the level of metropolis that you see today.
The respect and support I received as your Chancellor will always bring back fond memories and please show whomever takes over the job the same respect.
There are dark days coming, which makes the timing of my relocation weigh even more heavily on my heart. I wanted to leave everyone with these thoughts. Weight them as heavy as you have regard for me and all my contributes to our wonderful city.
Praxis is never done without some bloodshed. If what the Sheriff assumes is true and Prince MacTalon died, he should have been a stronger Prince. We have had a century of growth and prosperity, who can say if it would have been the same under MacTalon.
The Sheriff is lying about being informed about the trouble in the Brujah Protectorate. He brushed aside a call of help from the Keeper, a Primogen, and the Chancellor. Three members of the court of Seattle. He has been slipping in many of his duties, it might be time for him to step aside and let someone competent like Mr. Tredwell take over duties. Rather than slandering the good name of long time member of the city.
The mention of breaking up Primogen Echo’s event for those who are not in the know was because of the disrespectful behavior of hosting a second event on the same night as our gathering. They were even warned about doing it and persisted.
I find the Sheriff’s twisting of the truths to be one of the most shocking things of this whole event. Then again I have the freedom of this being the last thing I do in the city and while there might be repercussions for me, I feel I cannot let this stand.
The posturing of the Sheriff is the most ridicules thing of all. Offering a Major boon to everyone in the city. By my last count there are roughly fifty-eight kindred in the city. This is almost on the level of politicians promising a chicken in every pot.
Ok my ride is ready. I will miss many of you.
If you need me you can contact me in Las Vegas.
Remember this, everyone has an agenda. Ask yourself what does the Sheriff gain from this action? A distraction from the fact that his negligence cost the city one of its well respected Primogen? Perhaps he’s the Sabbat inflitra… no that’s ridiculous as well.
