After a long wait, we finally have something for the Lore of the Clans.
EC specific errata can be found here.
The 'book' itself can be found here.
Let's talk about putting this into play. Starting June 1st, players will have an option to buy merits with their XP that do not have a limit associated with them in that book. Please note that unless a merit/flaw has a rarity associated with it, or says it's banned, then it's assumed to be appropriate for play. 1 freebie = 3xp. At the close of June, we will be closing this option and it shan't come again. If you wish to knock yourself into XP debt, I have given BLewis ultimate authority in that matter, so appeal to his sensibilities. There was rumors of trading Rare cards of a specific wording to acquire something on this character of yours. I accept the negotiation, but this isn't an assumed deal- make your case over email or to Magic Rob at game directly.
Regarding Combo Disciplines; if you're a founding member of this game (meaning, you played during the vignettes and have been a reliable presence since), you may petition for a SINGLE combo-discipline that you currently qualify for and Staff will evaluate. This is not an assumed perk, and we reserve the right to deny any request based on our own judgement.
Regarding Backgrounds: Most of your characters would have been in play for quite some time, and it's reasonable for Tremere to have libraries and Nosferatu to have spawning pools. We'll allow you to have these perks, purchased with XP, in the same June deadline as everyone else. For the layman, that means that if you DON'T buy a spawning pool at this time, it'll be gained by the writing on the merit. You probably don't want that...
There will be one or two clarifications posted regarding the mechanics for how a few approved things work that they have left ambiguously up to the STs in a most annoying fashion. Expect a post regarding that soon. Also, this material is being allowed pre-publishing with the express and complete understanding that if in the final product things are omitted or changed, the printed material will be the ultimate arbiter for what is and isn't available (yes, we'll refund XP if you bought something that went away).
Any questions, please feel free to poke this thread or email staff directly!
