Man Killed in Shootout with Police After Murdering His Family

Six people died at a property in Lower Queen Anne. Detectives say that the victims appear to be part of the same family. Cops arrived on scene after receiving a 911 call from a neighbor reporting a domestic disturbance.
The shooter fired upon police. A two-hour standoff ensued before a SWAT team raided the home shortly before midday, at which point the man was critically injured. He was rushed to a local trauma center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A 9-year old girl was discovered at the scene. She is believed to be the shooters daughter. She sustained a traumatic head injury, but is currently in a stable condition at a local hospital.
The police have not released a statement regarding a possible motive.
