Yellow, orange, and green extension cords like a colorful nest of snakes stretched down the brick lined hallway. The air was damp and clung to you like mucus. "There you go, a nice home just for YOU" Nanaue slid the last television set on top of the other three.
It was a wall of TVs, eight feet high and ten feet long. Around fifteen monitors in all. It had taken the Nos the better part of a week to find them on the street or from Gregslist free stuff. All miss-matched, scuffed, and abused. One or two even had graffiti across the front of them.
Finding the on buttons took a little while but Nanaue was whistling a song to them-self "There's a pigeon squashed on the street... ewww." To their surprise all the tvs eventually turned on. Black cables leading from the back of the wall to a scavenged desktop computer sitting on a discarded cabinet door sitting on a small pile of bricks. It makes a humming sound like a beehive rolling down a set of stairs.
"If this works this will be awesome" With the moniters showing a snowstorm on the glass fronts the Nos goes over to the keyboard with some missing letters and starts to hunt and peck. One at a time the snow goes away and is replaced with something... animated.
A span of fifty years worth of cartoons appear on the screens. Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Animanics. All violent and all wacky. Mixtures of classical music and catch phrases blend in a cacophonous racket. Played at near full volume.
Pulling up a moldy brown easy chair in front of the screens, Nanaue just sits there watching the chaos unfold. Dropped anvils, painted tunnels, clever play one words, and even a cross dressing rabbit here and there.
One of the rusty springs give in the chair and Nanaue sinks even deeper into the chair with a sigh "Now this is the good life."
