Excessive Force Investigation Expanded

The investigation into a police officer for excessive force complaint caught on video earlier this month expanded to include the officer's partner.
It was revealed during the preliminary investigation that the both officers turned off their body camera’s prior to approaching the homeless man. The partner was not captured on film assaulting the homeless man. It is believed the partner may have been the cameraman.
“This investigation is distressing. We take our duties as protectors of the peace very seriously, and will be reviewing all of the body camera tapes in an effort to make sure there are no other lapses in footage,” said the Seattle PD police chief. “We ask the public to remain patient with us while we attempt to find undercover the truth in this matter.”
The investigation began after a viral video depicted a Seattle police officer arresting the homeless man after a local business owner filed a noise and public drunkenness complaint. The video shows the officers arguing with the homeless man. In the video the officer grabs the homeless man, slams him into the vehicle, uses a stun gun and proceeds to beat him with a baton. The homeless man does not appear to be resisting arrest.
The officer and his partner are both on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
