Character Commissions

For those of whom are sincerely interested, Sara (My Sara) is offering commissions for a small negotiable fee, This is being put towards her personal needs and expendatures for the upcoming camping trip. She offers to draw one to all forms of your character at the following requested prices:

• 1 form, non-color: $1.50 - Color: $2.00
  
• 2 forms, non-color: $3.00 - Color: $3.50
  
• 3-5 forms, non-color, $4.00 - Color: $5.00
  

All requested prices are negotiable. Those of whom have not seen example artwork may take a look this weekend.
Remember this is so she can afford what she personally needs for the camping trip, so any requests are appreciated.

So... if you would, ask her to please sketch me up a picture of David's five forms, so's I can be all impressed and smug.

Um, if you need particulars, David's a particularly small (for Garou) wolf with bright red fur in all forms other than glabro and homid, and has strawberry blond hair and blue-green eyes in those forms. Physically, he looks kinda scrawny. He wears casual businesswear (dress shirt, slacks, dress shoes) and tends to wear greens and blues. He doesn't have any scars, wrinkles or facial hair. He also doesn't usually wear any coats or anything.

David wears his fetishes whenever he can get away with it. I'll describe them for ya'. The first fetish is a matched pair of dark brown leather bracers with silver glyphs (Vigilance, Fianna, Storm, Fetish) with a dark red stone (symbolizing Stag) on the straps of one and a blue stone (symbolizing Thunderbird) on the other. The second fetish is a medicine bag the size of a medallion loosely hung about his neck with beadwork and a finger-length spread of strings tied at the mouth of the bag to flank it.

As for payment - I laugh at your offer. Ha! Ha-ha! As if I would ever pay someone a mere 5 dollars for five pieces d'art. Do this for me, and you'll be richly rewarded. *Cackles evilly* ;D

Oh, yeah, and keep in mind you've got two weeks, at least, for this.

Natural Irish red. I was saying "bright" in comparison to deep crimson or anything like that.

I think that'd be alright, as long as you email in vivid detail, a description of your character.

I talked to her on Saturday. I'm going to wait until the current rush is a little less, then talk to her about it. One of the pictures might be slightly difficult as i'd like it to be a "family" portrait.

Hey, guys. Listen, thank you very much for making requests and for helping Sara out, but I have to change the prices of the commissions. For those who have submitted their requests and full character descriptions already for the prices previously posted, you'll get what you have already paid or have vowd to pay for, however for any future requests, the prices will be changed thustly:

1 full-color form = $5.00+
Sara will also be willing to draw scenes and/or unique requests for a reasonable suggested price. (See Dan during game or send him an email for a quote.)

I'm sorry for the inconvinient change in price, however Sara has been riddled with requests and is struggling to get them finished within the time period set, and is simply not motivated enough to loyally complete everything requested. Besides that, I myself feel quite ashamed of myself for selling her talents for so cheap, taking advantage of her time and efforts for a minute sum.
Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience, but under good concience, I must request more for her cramped and sweaty hands. Thank you, and please continue to make requests.

I will proceed to laugh at the thing you didn't say (HO HO HO!), and then I will say this about the issue at hand...

I HATE commercial art. HATRED. BURNING. BILE. TROGDOR. Commissions can suck my nuts.

Creativity comes from being inspired, period.

If she never finishes my art, I won't be disappointed at all, so please remind her that I'm not going to be disappointed with her about this, EVER. I can't speak for anyone else, but I won't even bring this issue up. If someday she finishes my drawings, I will present her with a reward. If she never does, then I will continue to appreciate her artwork, regardless or not if it's anything anyone asked for. Let her know that I encourage her to draw things on the side, too, y'know, for herself. Things that spring up in her head and make her all draw-crazy. ;D

I have to agree with Ben. While I would like for her to draw something for me, it's something that I don't expect. I will pay her for her trouble if she does, but when I give artists a request it's more along the lines of "this is the characters ethnic background, this is the type of clothing he/she normally wears. The rest is up to you, have fun."

Artists should be free to draw what they want to. If I had the money, I'd "commision" a piece of art that is completely up to her, and pay her well to draw something she enjoys. Hell, I might be comissioning something totally different from her....but that will wait until the end of this madness.

Heh. thanks, guys. And she says she really does enjoy it! She's just not as used to making an excellent piece of art that she adores... and giving away. ^^
Actually, to be completely honest, Sara got in trouble with her mother for "selling her talent" for so cheap, but she truth is, she simply enjoys drawing and if she doesn't have anything to draw, well, she gets scary-bored sometimes.

Oh that is SO weak... she is an excellent artist and gets in trouble for selling it?! Did anyone yell at Picaso when he sold a painting of his for like 4 million at the London galleria?! No! Erm... it ticks me off sometimes when parents discipline their kids for trying to be economically productive... sorry to rant on that for a bit. Just one of my peeves. No offense meant to Sara's mom or anything.

Hahaha, I totally agree, but holy crap, your comment about 4 million dollars being nothing (obviously in comparison to what a Picasso painting is worth now) is hilarious. ;D

I can understand the "cheap" part of that, but selling talent is what keeps the artists of this world alive. Just because she puts the prices up at such a low rate doesn't mean diddly squat!!!
