If you modify fonts or colors on your profile that activates the option, which is where the settings for your custom colors 'hide' at the bottom of your signature. If you then go back and don't choose to modify anything the just sits out there at the end of your signature, which looks wonky.
The solution to this is to go into your profile and mod one thing like the Background Color (which is irrelevant because it's covered by a big pic of Seattle anyway) and then apply that as your custom profile. I reccomend using 000000 as the value for the background color (black).
This fulfills the requirement that there be something custom about your custom profile.
