Newspaper Sensationalizes Fact!
Local readers nonplussed

Seattle - Local readers were blase today as reports trickled in about a local newspaper the Gud Tymes (Tacoma) who had posted excruciatingly large headlines on the front page of their daily paper in an attempt to garner more business.

Slogans like "WAR" followed by sub-headings like "Against high insurance rates for the elderly" led to increased paper buying interest, but decreased satisfaction in the local media's dedication to journalistic integrity.

"It just ain't right." Said Farmer McGee of Rural Route 78, who picked up the Tymes on his way to by slop for his hogs and his extremely porcine wife. "I paid good money for this paper and there ain't nothin' in here about General Eisenhower."

McGee later recanted his statement, lost bladder control and called this reporter Edna.

Other Local Papers Sound Off

Said Englebert Coinkydink of the Urinal American (Fife) about the overblown headlines, "It's against everything (the Urinal) believes in. We stand for integrity and just, concise reporting about relevant, tasteful issues like Strippergate for example. Who but our staff was willing to interview each stripper individually to uncover every cranny of that important scandal?" Coinkydink said. "Hell I checked them twice."
