Morgan looked down at the crumpled boarding pass in her hand and glanced at the line now starting to board. She opened the folded picture and stared at it. A man kneeled beside a smiling little blonde girl with her arms wrapped around a coyote. She missed him.
She hadn’t been home in five years and was unsure now was the right time. But strangely the thought of being around her own tribe made her comfortable. No more idiot Bone Gnawers, harassment from Get, or being hated by Uktena for being white. Just family; where she didn’t have to pretend to be normal or play nice with everyone. A kin’s place was simple and now that she was Visili’s kinfolk there wouldn’t be any trouble. She wished she could have brought someone with her but it simply wasn’t safe and besides a 13 hour car ride nonstop with Llue would be too much of a bonding experience.
