OK. So here's the breakdown on the NOTR finances so far.
When we left the BGC at the end of May, we did not have enough money to pay the first month's rent for the fall, or ANY money to pay for the Haunted House in October.
Rent is 700 a month (this is a huge discount that we get in large part for our work on the Haunted House)
We spent 1500 as a community on the Haunted House last year (far less than we save with our discount, we checked). This year we have voted to centralize the haunted house fund and distrubute funds to each director from the central fund, rather than making directors come up with thier own funds. So we need to raise that money as a group over the summer.
We like to have rent x 2 (1400) in the bank at the end of any given month, without this buffer, we cannot buy snacks for the snack bar, pay for the website, or any other extra-curricular non-rent related projects we'd like to see happen. So while it isn't strictly needed to move back in, getting the second month's worth of rent is still a goal we would like to work towards.
We do have a minimum 2 week termination notice clause in our lease with the BGC, so if we ever feel we can't afford to pay rent, we have 2 weeks to let them know. Which is why an extra 350 IS part of our fundraising minimum.
We also have our corporate business license fees due in the fall, which are $80
This results in a minimum goal for the end of September of 2,630 and a wishful goal of 2,980.
At the end of June, here is where we stand.
Vampire Sphere donated 540
Werewolf Sphere donated 300
Total NOTR funds currently stand at 1644.
Amount we need to raise in the next 3 months: 986 minimum, 1336 desired.
Please donate what you can, and also remember the silent auction we will be holding later this summer, we're currently accepting donations of gently used or new shwag that you feel your fellow gamer geeks might be willing to donate to notr to win.
Thank you!
