Hello All!
Our theme for this year's Haunted House will be "Haunted Hotel"
"The guides are bellhops, leading people through horrible hotel scenes (murders, suicides, monstrous creatures, haunted hotel rooms, etc), building towards the guest's own room -- with the theme that everyone dies or has something horrible happen in their room. In the final sketch, the people being guided through manage to barely escape their fate, escaping their room and the hotel, leaving the haunted house."
And now we need to start recruiting for positions.
Financial Liason: will help work with the Producer, Directors and NOTR to make sure that funds are fairly and appropriately distributed and spent. Will collect receipts and assist directors in finding the most cost effective ways of achieving their goals.
Producer: Will coordinate the overall theme of the Haunted House, make sure that each Director has both a distinctive scene and one that fits the theme. Will focus on details of scene transitions, and other aspects of the House outside individual scenes, such as the tour guides or other multi scene drama ninjas, the green room, etc.
Directors: Each Director will be the creative minds of a single scene within the Haunted House. They will be in charge of designing and implementing the scene with the coordination of the Financial Liason and Producer, the set builders and actors. This ensures that each scene is unique, that scenes flow well into one another and that resources may best be shared. Each Director will be given a budget and may request additional funds based on need with a proposal, so this year we don't expect directors to have large (or any) personal out of pocket expenses other than what they donate to the general fund.
Builders: People who know how to measure twice and cut once, Directors will need help designing and building sets and costumes. If you love playing with power tools and/or sewing machines (or don't see the difference), join the builders team!
Actors: People to dress up in scary costumes and scare people on the night of the event. 3-4 hours of repeating the same scary motions will be required, but apparently you are rewarded by the screams and loss of bladder control of small children...
Please post here as to what positions you are interested in. If you would like to be the Financial Liason or Producer, please let us know why you think you are awesome for the job, and if you would like to be a Director, please post an idea for your scene (once you have one) so that other Directors can get an idea of how things are shaping up and where they might fit in.
Thank you all!
