In case people were curious about "those cards" that I made for the Apples to Apples game or the game in particular, here's a quick overview:
Apples to Apples consists of dealing a hand full of nouns to each player. Black holes, choir boys, JFK, garbage trucks, they're all in there. An adjective is then flipped over (like "noisy"), and each player puts down a noun they think is most like that adjective. The person whose turn it is to judge picks the card out of those played they think is best, and awards the point to the person who played it. The person judging then rotates to the right, cards are replaced, and the game moves on. It's quite fun.
Cards I created (with flavor text after a - ):
Prince - Not the singer. Although he did sing "Acknowledge Me".
Seneschal - Because "Vice Prince" just doesn't have the right ring to it.
Sheriff - Alternatingly investigator, enforcer, and target.
Scourge - Arr. "Scourge of the Soggy Seattle" doesn't have the same feeling behind it.
Keeper - Person in charge of keeping Elysium secure. Everybody seems to be surprised somebody's in charge of that.
Elysium - No weapons, fighting, grudges, raised voices, disciplines, anarchs, or independents allowed. Yeah, right.
Harpy - Person in charge of keeping track of status, boons, and publically insulting people who sit in the wrong chairs.
Warmaster - In charge of making sure people in the domain don't get killed. Tends to get people in the domain killed when doing their job.
Malkavian Primogen - Duck, duck, goos... wait, what?
Brujah Primogen - I'm strong, I'm fast, and gosh darn it, people like me. Mostly strong and fast, though.
Gangrel Primogen - The gangrel prefer the term "Pack Leader". Or "Scapegoat," depending.
Nosferatu Primogen - What nosferatu primogen? I don't see a primogen. I don't see a nosferatu. Carry on.
Tremere Primogen - They're in charge of all those magic items and spells being done in public. Now if we could get them to stop flying long enough to talk to them about it.
Ventrue Primogen - Contrary to popular opinion, ventrue hierarchy is not determined by the length of wooden sticks.
Toreador Primogen - I await their next master-work with bated breath. (text justified so that master- ends at the end of a line)
Assamite Primogen - When assamites request primogenship, it is suggested that you avoid the phrases "Bite me." or "Eat me." in response for safety reasons.
Camarilla - Group of kindred based on the idea of following the traditions. And the fear of Justicars killing them if they screw up.
Sabbat - Group of kindred that dislikes the Camarilla so much they devote themselves to breaking every Camarilla rule they can find. Not nice people.
Anarchs - Group of kindred that's not the Camarilla or Sabbat, and actively opposed to people ordering them to do anything. Unless the person ordering is allowed to, then it's okay.
Independents - Group of kindred that's not the Camarilla, Sabbat, or Anarchs. Not all that much for snazzy group names, either.
Werewolves - Warm cuddly fuzzy claws of death.
Book of Nod - Mythical book of vampire creation myths. Very hit or myth.
Golconda - Mythical state of being for nice vampires. Nice vampires?
Arlo Braven - "Are you sure you're not Malkavian?"
Matty Kincaid - aka Johnny Nitro, aka Anarch, aka Traitor, aka Murderer. We just know him as Matty.
Victor Morton - Blew things up a lot.
Angus Dermott - Gangrel. Likes to be on top. Named after beef. Need we say more?
O'Keefe - Anarch gangrel. Likes sheep and getting in other people's pants. Ask him about his animal feature.
Kenneth Ashland - Has a cane, a court position, and an attitude. Indeed.
Charissma Starr - Famous opera singer, longest running primogen, helped save the city from Settites. Still a neonate. Overachiever.
Scion - There's two faces to every Scion. Even he doesn't know which one's the good one.
Gah, I'm missing one but I can't remember what it was. Will fill it in later.
