Updates:
A little while ago I commented that Philip Barstow owed a trivial boon to Dr. Longfellow as part of the gambling that happened on 8-25. There's actually been a bit of confusion on this point, since Prince Ileana is of the impression that Philip isn't currently Acknowledged - it was her understanding that Dario had taken him under his Accounting until she could be convinced of the appropriateness of his Acknowledgement, which would, of course, make the boon owed by Philip a boon owed by Dario instead. Dario was of the impression that he was only claiming that he was going to teach Philip how to follow the Traditions, and was not taking him under his Accounting at all. I hope the two of them can come to some understanding about the issue and whether Philip will be Acknowledged or not at the Accounting this week.
Richard Castle, Morris Tobias, and Cecilia had an interesting discussion in Elysium. Apparently Morris claims that Castle mislead Morris and Cecilia by claiming they said things that they didn't say. In particular, Morris claims that Castle told Longfellow that Cecilia claimed that Morris should be careful regarding his association with Angel. And no, I will not say that three times fast. Interestingly, Castle is currently more respected than Cecilia, so any claims the two of them make about each other could get interesting, but since Morris is more respected than both of them it doesn't really matter. Castle apologized and asked how he could make recompense to the two of them. Morris Tobias claimed that he did not feel any compensation was required, as Castle had apologized, but would appreciate if Castle was more careful in the future.
New news:
I finally got an answer as to where the various kindred I haven't seen a while had vanished off to. Apparently Moshe went to London, while Eduardo was diablerized by Seth McManus. Yes, you read that right - the assamite primogen apparently just decided it would be a great idea to diablerize somebody. Just to recap everybody on how the Assamite clan has been doing in the city recently - In the last two months, there's been four Assamites in the city- Marcus McKnight, Samuel Lechley, Seth McManus, and Fausto Annibale. Marcus McKnight burned a bunch of churches to the ground, and was forcibly sent out of the domain by Lechley, who then proceeded to try to break the sixth tradition and was banished. Seth then took over as primogen and committed Diablerie. Having a grand score of 3 out of 4 banished or otherwise unwelcome in the domain, the Assamites are no longer allowed a primogen by the Prince.
Seth left a note claiming that he had fled the city because he realized that Dr. Longfellow was about to discover the truth. My congratulations to Dr. Longfellow for demonstrating his standing as somebody that can solve problems in the domain. Seth also claimed some other things in the letter, but as the claims involve other Camarilla members and Seth's word isn't really worth a whole lot at this point I'm not making them public until the Sheriff gets a chance to investigate.
Grizz was apparently made a Host. I have not had a chance to speak to the Keeper yet regarding whether he has any other Hosts or what status is being loaned to each.
In three weeks (September 28th), Luthias, Pierce, and several others intend to have a sword dueling exhibition.
There was finally a discussion on the distribution of Domain. There weren't a whole lot of changes among the boundaries, but there were a few points. I'm not going to make anything public until Prince Ileana confirms a final arrangement at the Accounting. Prince Ileana would like to remind everybody that they do not need to have the primogen of their own clan speak for them, but they do need a primogen. The Gangrel will be the default speaker for the unaligned - if you are not of a clan that has a primogen on the council, you should go to Primogen Scott Chambers for representation.
Population updates:
Tom, a Nosferatu from Edinborough, was Acknowledged.
Pierce, a Toreador from New York, and previously from Seattle, returned to the city. He is known as Acknowledged, Stoic, Teacher, Swordsman, and Exacting.
Thelma, a Tremere from Glasgow, is Acknowledged and Friendly.
Lysette Deveraux, a Ventrue from New Orleans, is Acknowleged and Shrewd.
Francis, the Ventrue under Dr. Longfellow's Accounting, was Acknowledged.
Rift, Seth's ghoul, was apparently embraced in Cairo, immediately Acknowledged, and sent back to Seattle. Ignoring for the moment that this is the ghoul of a diablerist, and even ignoring the fact that he hasn't been in Cairo to be properly considered for the embrace, and even ignoring the fact that the Prince of Cairo felt that it was a good idea to Acknowledge him the moment of his embrace, what the hell is he thinking coming back to the city where his sire just diablerized somebody? Prince Ileana has detained Rift pending investigation regarding his involvement in the diablerie of Eduardo.
Status updates:
Seth McManus is clearly no longer Loyal, and doesn't seem to be very much a proper Mentor, either. As well, he should be publicly known as a (-)Diablerist. If he somehow manages to escape being executed for the open diablerie of a Camarilla member, Eduardo's debts shall become his. In particular, Eduardo owed a Minor boon to Dr. Longfellow. The same Dr. Longfellow that tracked down the missing Eduardo to discover his killer. If this isn't an obvious indication of how useful owing boons to the people in power is, I really don't know what would be.
Just as a side note, I really seem to be forced to strip Loyal from an awful lot of kindred (or worse, watch as they get banished or hunted). I'm not going to claim anything special about the kindred that have this status, but I might suggest that those people who are known as Loyal start looking at everybody else in the city that's known as Loyal and consider whether you want to be lumped in the same category as them.
Boons logged:
Pierce owes Heron a Major Boon for an agreement during domain negotiations.
Richard Castle owes a trivial boon to Cecilia for getting her name wrong repeatedly.
Mr. Switch claims that Claire owes him a minor boon, but I didn't have an opportunity to check with Claire over whether this was the case.
Dr. Longfellow cashed in a minor that Jean Luc owed him to deliver a message.
