This is Billy media monkey reporting to you live from Miners landing, downtown Seattle. What we have been told is that at round 4:30 am this morning a cargo container ship sounded its alarms as it began to sink into the shipping lanes just off the Seattle waterfront. Not much is known about the cause but we have been told that catastrophic engine failure may have caused an explosion, blowing a 40 foot hole in the steel hull of this massive ship. So far 16 workers have been confirmed dead and 9 are still missing. WSF has shut down operation for the day and the US coast guard is assisting in the recovery. Salvage companies are just now arriving in an attempt to lift the debris and what remains of the intact ship. The growing concern right now is the load of some 240 automobiles that were on the ship. Are they leaking fluids into the water? nobody is certain. Reporting live.
