Did you know that Grizz’s name is Robert Waters? Bob Waters, I was thinking, would be a good name for a buoy.
When I go out on a boat, I see lines of those buoys just marking some kind of lane in the water. There’s no curb there, but all the boats respect it because that’s what makes a society work. It’s like our Kindred system of Status. If you ignore it, you'll be in deeper water than you can handle. We recently held an Accounting of status, and I was struck by how many well-esteemed individuals have chosen our city as their home.
Speaking of respected people, we have a lot of eyes on us here, with Archons and even the Grand Harpy of North America, Beatrix Magnano, lending their wisdom to help guide us. In any matters of such great importance, it takes time to learn the truth, but let me fill you in, just between you and me.
Like so many stories, it begins with the Nosferatu. We have had Archon Samuel Sorrow visiting us for a few months, sent by the legendary Tegyrius, who our own Warmaster Luthias once challenged to a friendly duel with swords. Unfortunately no such duel was had, but I guarantee it would have been memorable. Anyway, Sorrow has assisted the domain in some matters of the masquerade, collecting a few boons in return, and was somehow involved with the family business leading to Caitiff Dr. Kira Langston’s break with the Nosferatu. She’s now spoken for in Seattle by the Brujah, by the way.
Where was I? Yes, so Luthias came to believe it was Ajax the Nosferatu who was breaking the masquerade here in town. He dragged him into the meeting place and said so. Primogen Henry Allen Raven interjected and claimed that Ajax must be innocent in the matter. Sorrow agreed. Primogen Emelian Fantana suggested that the matter be at least investigated. A number of very familiar names have appeared in my mailbox lending support to various of these ideas. In the end our Discerning Prince D’ragno found insufficient evidence to find Ajax guilty, and has sent him to his sire in New York. We are considering the wisdom of those esteemed voices I mentioned earlier now, but I’ll keep you informed.
To put some more toppings on top of this casserole of claims, there are several differences of opinion between Archon Sorrow and Luthias, regarding a Major boon, claims of invasion of Havens, and so on. There are boons being created and cashed in, which I will speak of once I have listening intently to what those in the domain think on these matters, so approach me if you’d like to weigh in.
I have confidence the gents will get this all figured out very soon, but there’s no need to be hasty with all eyes on us here in Seattle. Nobody’s hair is getting any greyer than it already is.
In an unrelated matter, Simone no longer owes 2 minor boons to Emelian Fantana, as she helped him with some explanations recently, and supported something he had to say in Elysium. Simone continues to be, as everybody says she is, Effective.
Let's have a swell night at the next gathering.
