Lovely denizens of the Emerald Domain, good evening.
It has been quite a few weeks, has it not? I would almost say that this week was verging on quiet. At least compared to those leading up to it. Yes... Even since I have been here, it does seem as though our Exalted Prince, and the court backing him, are stepping up to the challenges Seattle faces, quite well. Our Cherished Senechal Seraphina Calise has unfortunately had to step aside for important business, but may be back in the not too far future. In the meantime, we have the Reliable Elleaunpzanah Gentilesxhi Pisano Salazar De Corazon for the position.
Now, there are a few of those among us who could use refreshers on their basics. I understand just as much as the next, of course. It is not as though these traditions are what keep us together as a whole, and ensure not only safety, but structure. Right? I could not ever imagine that perhaps our words and actions carry past the borders of our city, only to nestle into the minds of kindred watching our city. Or even those who are not, actively.
We do have a prime example of someone who is quick on the pick up and aware of her place and position. Magdalena Prelik understands that most do have a voice, but too many at once become a chatter. Some may have misinterpreted her words in the past. We're here to make sure that one and all know what Magdelena meant. That is why there are positions, like our Revered Primogen, who are the voices of a clan. There are those whose voices simply must be heard above the rest. Who decipher the needs and desires, the pains and the worries, of our population. We would not want every kindred to interrupt someone of great standing on the way to a very important meeting, with botched words and delay them for some time. That would be inconvenient, and possibly detrimental.
And in this regard, Magdalena owes both myself, Sonya Dombroski, and Sarah Smith a minor boon each. No more than a minor matter to inform everyone of her understanding of our life and place.
Occasionally voices do become a bit more passionate than others. Sometimes, the frustrations and even anger sit on our face plainly. It can be quite misfortunate. Our Insightful Mr Raven gave me a word or two on his feelings in fact, and owes myself a minor boon in this regard. I understand he was only trying to assist dear Cali, or California Coleman as she may also be known as, and it is certainly not a major deal for me to disregard those words as he was stepping up for his lovely friend.
There are many things indeed that are important to us. An asset of Ms Sarah Smith's was in need of rescue, and Primogen Ardeth Bey (Cairo) stepped up to the task. For this, Ms Sarah Smith owes her a blood boon.
I was sure to tend to one of Mr Ioseph Hashomer's assests, and she was certainly a well behaved. It was only a trivial matter to tend to her, in fact.
As I said- such a quiet night! Especially for boons. Please do come forward with boons owed or to be given. A boon is an asset, not necessarily something to fear!
Now, as we gather our things to once more convene, please take care of yourselves and those you tend to. I do not wish to be noting or hearing of anyone owing another for cleaning up the mess over something that should be common sense such as tradition, for there to be insults from those who have no voice yet (especially to honorable members of our society), or such things that are bothersome to have to take to paper.
Though, if someone could clear the air... Is there someone who is speaking for the Tremere known as White Rain? It is certainly difficult for me to register boons he gives, when he is unacknowledged and without someone speaking for him. And certainly disappointing for those who are owed. I do not wish to have to track this all down and see this become a major deal.
