It’s good to be back in the Emerald Domain. But there are so many new faces… and so few that have been formally Acknowledged. After talking with the upper echelons of the court, I think it’s a good idea that all newcomers have temporary Acknowledgment until they decide if they’re staying… and if the court decides whether or not they can stay.
That being said, Father Graesin Asheford… a Zealous, Fervent, Cunning Malkavian… has been formally Acknowledged by our Discerning Prince Dario due to his direct involvement in the killing of another infernalist. Yes. I said “another.” More on that in a moment.
While Father Graesin has made an impression on the upper court, he also fumbled a bit with Assamite elder, Jaheda, who is still awaiting formal Acknowledgment, by calling her a Saracen. He owes her a Trivial boon for his unintended insult.
Speaking of boons, the Gracious Dr. Michael Davidson, a Ventrue recently of Paris, also awaiting formal Acknowledgment, owes the Knowledgeable Primogen Kotjah a Trivial boon for a bit of local information.

It’s common knowledge that the infernalist, Tiberius Harkness, was blood hunted by the Vigilant Prince Dario and Hamza and Luthius carried out the execution. Unfortunately, before his death, Harkness corrupted Primogen Sonya Dombroski. She was executed by the Jaheda on order of the Prince for being an infernalist last Saturday evening.

There’s a most interesting tug of war happening between the Giovanni and the Tremere over hunting down the Tremere Caellech (another rumored infernalist) who murdered former Giovanni Dona Angela Millner. Caellech has been renounced by the Prince but not officially blood hunted. Any in the domain may slay her. And yet the Tremere are claiming sovereignty over her capture/death, since they fear what might happen if the Giovanni or another Clan got hold of her and/or her vitae. Though, clearly, the Giovanni do have a valid claim of vengeance. This is going to be one to watch. Especially since the Gangrel Primogen is also very interested in claiming Caellech’s blood.

I had the pleasure of speaking with a couple of new, well regarded Nosferatu—the Knowledgeable elder Skir and the Exemplary Hephaestus. I had heard Skir’s name spoken in Cairo and found him to be witty while Hephaestus was quiet and charming. It was a pleasant conversation.
And speaking of pleasant, Primogen Jibran introduced me to a new Brujah elder, Miss Aristat, whom he called ‘a treasure of Clan Brujah.’ For those who know Jibran, you know he is sparse with his words of praise. In conversing with the Honorable Miss Aristat, I found her to be very pleasant company indeed.

For those who care, the Flippant Sweets would like to be known as Kane now. Apparently, this is his real name and he is making an effort to clean up his act. I fear he has a long way to go in the eyes of the upper court but I am looking forward to seeing what his effort produces in the long run.
Finally, no one has fessed up to why everyone is diving like rats off a sinking ship out of Chicago. It’s not like Chicago is Denver. Even more interesting… none of the people from Chicago seem to know each other. Kinda makes you think, doesn’t it.
