Mediation on the Traditions of the Camerilla, Report 3: Progeny
"Thou shall sire another only with the permission of thine Elder. If thou createst another without thine Elder's leave, both thee and thy progeny shall be slain."
On the surface this seems most basic. Do not create another kindred without first getting the approval of one's sire, or elder in the city. In Camarilla cities this is interpreted as the Prince of the Domain.
In my research I have learned of those independent and anarchist kindred who feel this is too strict. That asking permission for such a personal matter is too controlling. They do not understand that this is to ensure higher standards.
Kindred are chosen to receive this gift, unlike spiritual incarnations this is one that is chosen in this realm, not by the higher being. They are given the Niṣkām Sādhanā, and taken out of the cycle for a time.
For the Trimira, the karmic rewards are greater. Therefore the steps taken to ensure one is worthy is greater. Each Trimira holds the powers of the gods in his hand. Through ritual and understanding is enlightenment found, be it here with the Sadhu or Hermetic. They are both paths to the divine understanding and those worthy must meet the requirements.
It is far more reasonable and responsible than simply being given permission by a unenlightened Danava
I have spent, as required, the past days and nights in the burning ground.
I have watched the bodies as they burn. I smelled the sweet coppery fumes of the blood and organs roasting as the bodies cooked, the scent of burning hair clinging to the inside of my nose and in my lungs. I am uncertain if I will ever forget those smells, even after I am no longer required to breathe.
Upon seeing and tasting that aroma of death I believe I can see the better the way of things, and my path is becoming clearer.
I have not fully woken from the maya which covers my eyes, but I can see the veils being removed one by one, and I no longer fear death in this world.
