I haven't let off steam, in a while, here... so here we go.
It is entirely unacceptable, to hog storytellers. Now, this is not to say that scenes should not take time, if you have one. That is completely understandable, but week in and week out, an hour+ every single week, for one scene that SHOULD be done mid week for the most part, and alittle bit at game, is lame for EVERYONE waiting to get stuff done. I understand fully that some things require a certain amount of attention, but seriously... it is player responsibility to say "Hey... I have eaten up alot of this storyteller's time, and there are others waiting. There has to be a faster way to do what I need to do, and not be a burden to those waiting in line." We are here to interact with each other, not sit and play primarily with storytellers.
In that same respect, it is also the responsibility of the storyteller to say "I gotta get to other things, there has to be a way to wrap this up quickly and efficiently... sorry, friend, I cant sit with you all night because there are others that need me for things that may or may not be as important, but they have patiently waited their turn."
Again, I understand that some new things require a bit more time invested, but when I find myself third in line, then somehow pushed back to 4th... because the person first in line got two turns and ate up 3 hours of time, doing it, I am beyond frustrated... especially when I have already been pushed back 1-2-3 weeks, due to similar situations of the required storyteller having all their time consumed by the same shit...every week.
I feel that EVERYONE who has had similar situations occur, should be frustrated by this, too. This is not about me, but the situation itself.
It has to stop. Take responsibility and know when you need to pass the storyteller onto another person.
Also... a brand new character coming in MUCH more status that a person who fought for the position they have, and becomes their boss on the first night of the new character's game? lulwut? It's one thing to come in with reputation and status, its another thing entirely to show up as a boss by dots. I wasnt aware that was acceptable, in this game. Next character, I am rolling a Justicar. Luls.
