Our city has accomplished a great feat. The warriors pursued and defeated the Red-Lister Dylan Bruce of Clan Ventrue behind the flag of the Empowered Archon of Lucinda, Giles, of clan Tremere. These times have been dark, but our perseverance and dedication succeeded in the death of one of the Camarilla’s most potent and reviled enemies. With this, the Domain may once again find itself at ease, and more importantly, may we praise our leadership in its guidance; Luminary Colin Colosimo guided the arrow and kept the shaft from splintering even in the overwhelming political turmoil our city has faced in these hard times.
Dedicated Samuel Lechley organized and maneuvered the plan I had given him, adding a layer of planning on top of the Alastor’s own intended plan. The use of the Tremere and Assamite clan’s magic with the help of the Giovanni paid for clean up was able to fall Dylan prior to the back-up plan the Alastor Giles had suggested had to go into effect. During the fight, both Samuel Lechley and Luthius suffered aggravated damage that incapacitated them, but were taken from the scene by, respectively, clan Assamite and the Anarchs. The Brujah clan and Tremere clan both attended the Alastor, accompanying him to the effort against the Camarilla’s #8 enemy.
In his last actions as Warmaster, Luthius speaks for Samuel Lechley as a potent and skilled swordsman who would do a fine job in the position, although Mr. Lechley’s name does not stand out high in our organization at current, it is with his leadership and organization that the plan that felled the Red-Lister was put into action and it should be well-known that he has fought mightily to protect this city over these last weeks.
The Tremere Luthius has declared himself an Anarch and given up the title of Warmaster, although it did not stop him from accompanying the mission to attack the Camarilla’s enemies on the front line and he should be considered honorable for his actions taken in pursuit of this. He has not had a chance to speak with the Prince on the matter of his Toleration, but I assume that it will be extended to him shortly.
Since the threat has been dealt with, there is an important announcements to be made to the domain in reminder and in note.
The Intellectual Harpy Aristat Alexandrei would like it to be known that her knowledge of the Camarilla and its Traditions is masterful, and she would happily teach a class to any student who wished to attend on Tuesday evening at her residence in Kent, whose grounds are secured and quite cozy, for a Trivial Boon for each lesson. If any would prefer a more private lecture, a minor boon would suffice for each lesson. As it is important that our city is well-versed in the traditions and the Camarilla’s history, she offers this service to any that would wish to take her up on it.
Status Changes
The status that was loaned to Harpy Aristat Alexandrei was used to its purpose over the week, to place the call to emphasize the need for an Alastor to respond quickly.
Akos Diak is known as Sagacious by his Primogen, Magdalena Pralik, for the ability to weigh decisions between what is wrong and right and deciding cautiously and according to tradition
Samuel Lechley is known as Committed by the Archon of Justicar Lucinda, Giles, for his leadership in the attack on Dylan, and his organization of the plan ongoing.
Aristat Alexandrei is known as Wise by the Archon of Justicar Lucinda, Giles, for her concocting of the plan that lead to the salvation of a member of the Camarilla and the destruction of the 8th enemy of the Sect.
Boons
Relentless Primogen Styx has granted Forthright Karnovitch of Vienna and Influential Fat Tony of Chicago a minor boon each for their wisdom during the Status debate
Wise Harpy Aristat owes Well-Traveled Sheriff Hephaestus a major boon for quick assistance in a dangerous situation
Elegant Fiona Keith of clan Ventrue owes Useful Kira Langston a blood boon
Servire Octavio Papo Cortes of clan Brujah does not, nor has ever owed Honorable Tom Mercer a minor boon for the protection of the Influential Harpy Aristat's good name.
Status Disputes
Servire Octavio Papo Cortes was misunderstood by myself and my lesser when I declared the other week that he had paid a minor boon to protect my status. As such, after a brief discussion, the Honorable Keeper Tom Mercer will be moving forward with an attempt to strip me of Intellectual.
As I have no intention of having my status stripped over rules that were not publicized until afterwards and were not even spoken to me privately, I call the very idea scandalous and we will be disputing it.
Since the first status dispute I had was a debacle that resulted in every person who put their name behind the losing party pulling it last minute and I had not foreseen such a thing, I have the intention of laying out the rules ahead of time before punishing anyone. That is to say, these rules are very important and make note of them, because they are enforced from here on out.
If you put your name behind someone, choose carefully, because I will not allow you to pull it out of the fire. Do not back a person whose opinion you do not actually stand behind, or you would not risk your backing for. This rule applies to loans of status for the action. Indefinite loans of status that were not given for the action may be pulled at any time.
If a status dispute is lost by a discrepancy of 4 or more status, it is scandalous, and all those who lent their name to the loser will forfeit the status they lent. If it is closer than that, all those who lent their status will have it returned to them.
A minor boon often is enough to get your name behind something, but it will not pay for your status stripped, so be careful when someone asks to pay you or call in a minor to put your name on a scandalous loss; you had best charge a better price. As always, you may discuss with the harpy if you don’t think a boon adds up to the payment asked.
The further rules of status, you all of course know, being versed in the traditions. If you need a brush-up course because you are young, I will happily provide it in accordance with the above.
And now, the details.
The Enigmatic, Seer, Savvy, and Honorable Keeper Tom Mercer would like to declare that he does not find the Influential Harpy Aristat to be Intellectual for the use of a power outside of Elysium to break up a fight within Elysium.
The Diligent, Wise, Intellectual, Honorable, Breathtaking, and Influential Harpy Aristat contests this declaration, as regardless of the Keeper’s expansion of powers granted by our Honorable Prince Colin to strip the status of anyone disobeying the rules of Elysium, these rules must be publicized and cannot be made up after the fact.
This dispute will resolve at the stroke of midnight on the 9th of November.
The Rules of Elysium
Speak of publicizing the rules of Elysium, the Keeper would like it to be known that there are no uses of powers within Elysium’s walls for any reason whatsoever, and doing so will endanger your status.
There is also to be no using of powers on those within Elysium from without.
This is an extensive list of all our powers of the blood, and does not pay any regards to those you might find are mere safety precautions.
The Rules: All are welcome, No violence, No un-ghouled mortals within Elysium, and all must respect the Rules of the Keeper.
The Keeper is given the honor of the ability to strip status for breaches of these rules.
