We stand on the high water mark of a tragedy of epic proportions. Many of you are unsure of how to act or if there is anyone to blame. The rumors that now circulate suggest that everything that happened in the southern part of Seattle's downtown are the result of Vampiric actions. Many of you may be sharpening your literal or figurative blades at the idea that there is a face and name to place blame upon.
Rest assured, our Feared Sheriff Hephastus is investigating the disaster and the rumors of Vampiric involvement. Once he has reported his findings to our Exalted Prince Colissimo, the results of that investigation will be announced and any calls to action will then be made.
Allow me to be clear: Any action not sanctioned by his Highness or the Sheriff in investigating this matter is unnecessary and scandalous. If you can help, seek out Hephastus and offer your assistance. Do not get in the way.
Along similar lines, we are the caretakers of this mortal community. In the best of times, we trim and adjust their society to meet our needs like some vast, social gardener. Now they are lying among the rubble of a terrible disaster that may be of our making. Any of you with the ability to assist in the rebuilding of Seattle and the assuaging of the damages to the mortal population should seek out Revered Primogen Caroline Andrist of the Ventrue. As our Masquer, she is trained and ready to coordinate uses of influence and allies to best meet a specific goal. If you have resources such as these to put to use to repair our Domain, it is best we work together and NOT across purposes. Let us work together to resolve this disaster as quickly as we can.
To that end, should I catch wind of erosions of involved influence or attacks on mortal allies by enterprising individuals during the course of this relief effort, I will bring the full weight of Camarilla scandal and binding of deep debt to those who seek to profit or act out of spite against anyone helping.
Finally, this disaster has also affected our own. While I have received no reports of Kindred meeting their final death in the disaster; no doubt havens and businesses have been damaged as well as the lives of our mortal allies who remain unaware of our nature. If you have need of assistance in rebuilding in this time of trouble, seek me or my assistants out. We will find those who can help you and make sure any debts incurred are reasonable given the circumstances.
Times like these try the souls of men. We who are beyond mortality should be the first to rise above repair the damages. As goes this City, so goes our fortune.
