Durante Giovanni lies dead at the hands of a brave cadre of Kindred whom traveled to the lands of the Dead with the assistance of Octavia Giovanni. Our own "Mad" Thomas Mercer, respected elder of this city and Keeper of Elysium claims the honor of the killing blow; though he humbly confided that his effort was simply one of many to destroy the Anathema. The Blood Hunt so justly called by our Noble Prince Colosimo stands resolved and the ancient tradition of Lextalionis fulfilled.
The council of Giovanni Elders and Justicariat envoy whom traveled to Venice to decide Durante's fate lie in tatters after he assaulted his and our own elders at that very meeting on his way to return to Seattle in an attempt to murder our Prince.
In the wake of the Giovanni's declaration at that same tribunal to not punish Durante for his actions in Seattle with Final Death and instead 'take him away from the city", an action they clearly were unable to complete, our Prince has declared that any Giovanni seeking to continue to exist in Seattle must seek the petition of an Acknowledged Kindred of the Emerald Domain to speak for his or her value to the city, staking the reputation of one of ours on the behavior of an outsider. Seeing as the reliability of the Elders of this so-called 'well organized' clan seem to be in question when it comes to policing their own and some may be unwilling to respect their treaties with the greater body of Kindred governance, I would suggest caution before you agree to speak for a member of this Clan. Know what you are getting into and whom you are getting into bed with as your standing will reflect any poor choices you make.
On the 4th of January, there will be a gathering to celebrate those heroes who stood against Durante and risked their lives to achieve victory when the elders of his own Clan refused to act. The fete will be themed as a masquerade ball celebrating the stars in the sky. I hope we call can take the time there to celebrate the brave stars who walk among us. In addition to Tom Mercer; our Sheriff Hephastus, Lady Aristadt of the Brujah and the ghoul of a Tremere by the name of Metzger all specifcally acted to coordinate the combat against Durante in the lands of the dead. Similarly, the Gangrel, led by Primogen Geist and with the coordination of their honorable, independent liaison Vex; worked to ensure the local lupine population whom were equally incensed by Durante's flagrant disregard for life, territory or property, worked with us to destroy the army of shambling corpses Durante had summoned to his beck and call. It was the word of Sheriff Hephastus, Lady Aristadt and Tom Mercer that confirmed Durante's death in the spirit land. Later, at my behest, Octavia Giovanni recovered Durante's ashes, the identity of which were confirmed by our own Primogen Fantana of the Tremere.
I have also heard rumor that Khalid, an elder whom vexed this court, has been reported dead by the Sheriff. Details are thin at this time but I expect to hear more in the near future.
Finally, word has reached the court that upon hearing Seattle was capable of defeating a member of the Red List, push back multiple demonic incursions and destroy a being capable of leveling half the city with minimal loss of Kindred life; that this might be a good time for old fashioned terrorist pranks to test our resolve. These fools set fire to a portion of Brujah claimed territory and set fleshcrafted monstrosities loose upon the West End. Anyone with information on these fools or the beasts they've set loose should report to Maquer Andrist immediately. In a similar vein, any who decide to show their own resolve by taking care of any of this emergent situation without coordinating with Ms. Andrist or Mr. Hephastus first should do us all the courtesy of informing me or either of my lessers which deeds they no longer want known to their name.
Seattle, I congratulate us on our victories. We have a long road ahead of us and much to do before we can truly rest; but for now, as the sun rises and the day slumber claims us all; know we have come together in the spirit of the Camarilla's founding, elder and neonate alike. Our unity strengthens us and we are made greater than the sum of our parts by it.
